We have robust relationships with several professional associations and their members across the country. In fact, we were co-founded by the Western Fire Chiefs Association (WFCA) in 2001 in an effort to provide better purchasing options for fire departments in the western states. WFCA still plays a major role in our national organization and coordinates association outreach with our other fire service partners across the country.
Currently, we work with essentially all fire chiefs professional associations in the U.S. including the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), all their U.S. Divisions, and through those Divisions, all 50 State Fire Chiefs Associations. This relationship includes participating in outreach opportunities to their membership and representation on our FireRescue GPO Advisory Council.
We also work with various market specific governmental associations such as the Special Districts Association of Oregon (SDAO), the Florida Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police, and the Retired Employees of San Diego County.
There are several state procurement associations we support such as the California Association of Public Procurement Officials (CAPPO) and the Florida Association of Procurement Officials (FAPPO).
NPPGov is an active member of the National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NCPP) and the Fire and Emergency Manufacturers and Services Association (FEMSA).
Our partnerships with associations and other professional organizations are an important element to our effectiveness as a national cooperative procurement organization. We regularly evaluate these relationships and strive to improve upon them and develop additional ones when it is mutually beneficial.
