NPPGov’s AT&T Contract is FirstNet Ready

FirstNet is Here!

The statutory 90-day decision period for Governors to “opt-in” or “opt-out” of the FirstNet proposed Radio Access Network (RAN) buildout plan concluded on December 28, 2017. With all 50 states, 5 U.S. territories and Washington, D.C. joining FirstNet, public safety has a groundbreaking new choice for their communications that will help them save lives and protect their communities.

FirstNet is the first high-speed, nationwide, wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. This reliable, highly secure, interoperable, and innovative public safety communications platform will bring 21st century tools to public safety agencies and first responders. Public safety personnel will receive more information faster, allowing them to make potentially life-saving decisions quicker and easier.

AT&T and NPPGov have partnered to bring government entities a publicly solicited and awarded contract that is FirstNet ready. With FirstNet, NPPGov members can take part in the first network for Public Safety, by Public Safety.
