National Volunteer Fire Council and Public Safety GPO Partner to Provide Cooperative Agreements to NVFC Members

Public Safety GPO (a program of NPPGov), a leader in public safety cooperative purchasing, and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), the leading nonprofit membership association representing the volunteer fire and emergency services, have announced a partnership to provide open, fair, and competitive cooperative options to NVFC members.

Through the partnership, NVFC members can take advantage of cooperative agreements that provide discounted pricing on products and services from some of the nation’s leading companies. Both departmental and individual discounts are available, and there is no purchasing obligation required to access the cooperative contracts.

“The NVFC is pleased to partner with Public Safety GPO to offer our members departmental and individual discounts so they can get access to products and services at the best prices,” said NVFC chair Steve Hirsch. “We feel a direct relationship with GPO will be extremely beneficial to our members and the fire service industry.”

Public Safety GPO provides public safety departments access to publicly solicited contracts from vendors, eliminating the need for the department to do its own RFP process. The partnership will provide NVFC members with access to over 100 publicly procured agreements for products and services used by the fire service every day, along with a discount program for their individual members from over 20 vendors such as AT&T FirstNet.

About Public Safety GPO

Public Safety GPO is a program of NPPGov providing public safety departments access to publicly solicited contracts from vendors who supply goods and services. Contracts are created through a public RFP process by a Lead Public Agency that allows members to “piggyback” on the contract, eliminating the need to complete their own RFP process. Public Safety GPO staff and legal counsel facilitate this process and provide necessary documentation and support.
