The City of Sacramento recently used NPPGov’s cooperative contract with ProForce Law Enforcement to purchase ballistic doors for patrol cars. City council approved this $440,000 purchase to improve officer safety.
Officers were using their vehicles, including the doors, as shields. In a recent incident, an officer was shot and wounded trying to protect himself behind his vehicle.
