Tales of Savings: Baltimore Saves with LION Contract

The City of Baltimore and Baltimore Fire Department recently purchased almost half a million dollars in turnout gear from LION using the NPPGov cooperative contract. The Fire Department was able to piggyback off the contract to get the gear they needed and in a timely manner. The City and Fire Department were able to save money while getting the products they need to successfully and safely defend their communities.

“We were pleased to have this contract vehicle to piggyback off.”

The success of this procurement led the City of Baltimore to use the NPPGov LION contract again and purchase 1.5 million dollars in cleaning and maintenance services for the turnout gear. Baltimore firefighters can confidently do their jobs knowing they have quality equipment that is properly cleaned and maintained.
