Happy Holidays From NPPGov

The Holiday season is upon us and the end of the year is near. As 2017 turns into 2018 we are reminded that without you, our members, we wouldn’t be as successful as we are. Because of you, we have many successes to celebrate this year:

  • New Website, new member IDs, new database: We heard your feedback and completely revamped our website. These changes have enabled us to better serve our members and vendor partners.

  • New Contracts: Over 20 new contracts were awarded by our Lead Public Agency partners for NPPGov member use.

  • NPPGov attended nearly 30 tradeshows, in addition to several vendor partner meetings and association conferences.

  • Established a Business Development Department.

  • Established Regional Managers based on geographical regions.

We appreciate your support and your choice to use us as your cooperative procurement solution provider. Wishing you a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season,

Our Vendors Are There When You Need Them

Many of our members, family, and friends have been affected by the natural disasters that recently took place. Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Nate devastated everything in their path. Earthquakes have also caused major destruction. While the rebuilding process continues, our vendors have stepped in to help.

After Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, AT&T worked hard to ensure customers were connected and able to communicate. Through mobile cell site deployments to portable satellite units, AT&T supported more than 13 million calls and 6.5 million texts a day in Puerto Rico. After Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey, WESCO established local, regional, and national staging and deployment areas to support product and service requirements. Teams were ready to be deployed to support local branch teams.

Many vendors in addition to AT&T and WESCO also helped their local communities and customers get through these devastating events. Let’s not forget the invaluable efforts of fire, EMS, emergency management and law enforcement personnel in helping others and taking part in the cleanup efforts. Our thoughts continue to be with those affected and impacted by these disasters.

Using cooperatives is an option, but do you have a real plan? Gain insight from procurement leaders on how a good strategy can work for your agency. Register here to take part in the webinar January 17, 2018 at 2PM EST.

We’ve Increased Our Contract Portfolio

NPPGov has been working with our Lead Public Agency Partner, Public Procurement Authority (PPA), to finalize a variety of new contracts. Several vendors responded to and were awarded contracts in the last round of RFPs for Firefighting Equipment, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Cloud Storage for Government Services, and Software Solutions for Government Services. Some of these contracts are still being finalized but those that have recently been completed and are available to you now include the following:

PPA published several new RFPs this month and we look forward to sharing the resulting contracts with you in the new year. As a reminder, contracts are competitively bid and publicly awarded so you can piggyback off of them, saving time and money.
